Efraïm Trujillo was born in Lynwood, California. He started playing the clarinet at the age of nine but later fell in love with the saxophone. Since 1980, Efraïm has been living in Amsterdam where he studied at the 'Sweelinck' conservatory with Tim Armacost and Jan Menu. He received his U.M. (uitvoerend musicus) degree in 1994. The 'Fonds v/d Scheppende Toonkunst' granted Efraïm Trujillo in 1995 - 98 and 2001 - 2006 a 'compositie-opdracht' and in 2002 a 'stupendium'. His compositions are released on numerous CD's. With 'New Cool Collective' he recorded the Edison rewarded cd 'Big'. Efraïm Trujillo has played in The Netherlands at all major jazz-venues with among others; The Ploctones, Fra Fra Sound, 4Sure and New Cool Collective, he also toured in the US, Jamaica, Tunis, Malta, Cuba, Senegal, Ghana and South-Africa. Furthermore he collaborated / recorded with; Courtny Pine, Benny Bailey, Steve Williamson, Bootsy Collins, Lester Bowie and David Murray. Efraïm is a passioned teacher. After completing the jazz program at the Hilversum Conservatory in 1992, Mark Millan attended the Rotterdam, graduating in 1996. Mark began his professional career at the age of 18, when he became a regular member of Chicago-born blues guitarist Ronald Abrams' band. He has performed with many artists, including Rumbata, Gerardo Rosales, Unisono, Denise Jannah, Saskia Laroo, Izaline Calister. With Fra-Fra Sound/Big Band he has toured in Europe, Africa, Jamaica, Cuba, and Surinam. Mark appeared at the North Sea Jazz Festival in 1998 with Fra-Fra Sound, and in 2001 with Eddy Veldman's Opoyeye. His recordings include the CD's of Fra-Fra Sound and Rumbata.
Franc auf dem Brinke speelt drums en klassiek slagwerk vanaf zijn negende. Begon met de klassieke slagwerkstudie aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag, maar koos na enkele jaren definitief voor de drumset. Studie Slagwerk Lichte Muziek aan het Rotterdams Conservatorium afgerond met een masters' degree. Post-graduate studies aan Drummers Collective New York en Manhattan School of Music. Speelde en speelt met vele bekenden waaronder Deborah Carter, Benjamin Herman, Toon Roos, Rick Margitza, Maarten Ornstein, Paul van Vliet, Edwin Rutten, Chris Hinze, Louis van Dijk en Thys van Leer. Met zijn vaste formaties The Extensionicers, Bart Lust 5 en Christian Hassenstein Trio maakte Franc de afgelopen jaren diverse opnames die op cd zijn verschenen. Franc is endorser voor Yamaha Drums.
